ReTreat Yourself to a Retreat with Britt...

With our recent dedication to building our YogaFarm, retreats with Britt are on a short hiatus.  Be sure to subscribe to the BloomLetter for upcoming events and impromtu events.  Look for Daycations, a retreat, and workshops (virtual and live) in Spring of 2012.

We should be back with a full schedule of monthly offerings  beginning Fall 2012.  Be sure to subscribe to the BloomLetter on the right hand column and you will be the first to know when our dates are set for the next retreat.  In the meantime, there will definitely be daycations and workshop opportunities for you to enjoy.

So, what's all this talk about the YogaFarm?

The YogaFarm is located about 15 minutes from downtown Vernonia, at the end of a windy, country road.  The Farm is enveloped by two year-round creeks, wildlife, and some of the most pristine, mountain air we have ever experienced.  We are less than 1/4 mile from the headwaters of Fall Creek, and are blessed to be the stewards of a nearly 400 year Cedar tree, that has an open spine where you can nestle down within the belly of the tree to meditate.

The weekend curriculum includes meditation, daily yoga practice, healthy food, group discussion, with Yoga as our theme. Music, chanting, and exposure to a variety of yogic and ayurvedic practices help each participant create a lifestyle plan that supports a sense of peace and vitality.

Retreats are offered to create an environment to take a break from daily life and to rejuvenate through yoga and ayurveda, and other sustainable living practices. Each retreat is designed for individuals of varying experiences and levels of fitness and there are plenty of opportunities to tailor the weekend to suit their needs and energy level.

Although the theme of yoga and ayurveda runs steady, with so much wisdom and history to draw upon, every retreat is unique. You can expect some participants to have attended many past retreats, while others will be first-time attendees. It is a nice retreat to experience with a loved-one, and it is also a great way to get away and meet new friends. Coming alone or with someone are equally perfect options.

Early registration is recommended, as we have been known to reach our capacity quite early.
